I’m writing this post because I want to add a section to my blog about blogging. The reason for this is that, obviously, blogging is one of the forms of writing you’ll be doing to build your business online.
Specifically, I want to talk about a method that integrates both article writing, blogging and affiliate marketing for profit. You can also use it to increase sales for your own products.
It’s simple, and, if you do it right, you can make a lot of money.
Here’s how it works in three steps.
Step #1: Select a hot product from your catalog or one you want to promote as an affiliate … and … write a persuasive post that builds a strong case for why a person should buy the product.
Step #2: Link from the post to the sales page or shopping cart of the product (this is where you put your affiliate link if you’re promoting a product as an affiliate).
Step #3: Write 20 articles related to the general topic area of the product you want to promote … and then … submit these articles to ezinearticles.com and other such article directories with a link back to your blog post.
OK. So once you’ve done this, here’s what’s going to happen next.
1. Assuming your 20 articles are good, (if you follow some basic article writing guidelines they will be) over the period of a month you should start to see traffic coming in to your site.
2. A percentage of the traffic will click through and buy your product.
3. You’ll make money.
4. You’ll like the idea so much you’ll continue writing articles (or hire someone to do it for you) so you can keep funneling traffic to the blog post so people will read it and click through and buy.
Of course, the other advantage of this simple article/blog/product model is that some of the traffic that clicks through will read other posts on your blog and sign up for your newsletter to become a regular reader.
Plus, the links back from article directories will improve your search rankings for the keywords or phrases you optimize your articles for.
And a percentage of regular readers will buy other stuff from you.
Would you like to see this model in action?
Then watch this space as I’ll be posting a case study here soon.
