$5,000 for sending two emails?
That’s what I paid a joint venture partner of mine recently.
The first email he wrote to me – asking if I had any products I wanted to promote to his list.
The second email he wrote to his list – telling them to go to his blog and sign-up for a free short-course offered by me.
Over 3,000 people signed up for the short-course. Over 100 bought my product – bringing in over $13,000 in a few short days.
Of that $13,000 … $5,000 went to my joint venture partner for sending his two emails.
The rest went to me and my business partner.
We added over 3,000 names to our email list.
I’m not sure what was more valuable – the $8,000 my partner and I split between us … or the 3,000+ new names we added to our data base.
All this raises an important point: You don’t need a list to sell a product.
I think it raises another important point: You can build a list quickly if you have something of value to offer.
The course I offered was nothing more than a few “how to” videos and a report I had written some time ago.
The value of the material offered was not in the production … but the content.
Can anybody do this?
I think so.
If you can write a valuable report that solves a problem for people … and … if you can make that report available for immediate download … then … there’s no reason why you can’t offer it to the readers of other blogs. All you need is an incentive.
In my case the incentive was 1) The value of the free information, and 2) The joint venture deal that would pay the other blog owner a sizable windfall if people bought my product.
Sounds like a recipe for success to me.
And it represents a profound opportunity for writers.
Suddenly, using the web, you can create unlimited information-based products using nothing more than your words and a few emails.
Not having a list is no barrier to your success because you can get someone else to email their list. Next, once your own list is built through this joint venture arrangement, you can turn the tables and mail what is now your list with offers for other people products – and possibly make $5,000 from two emails.
In summary, if you can write … you can use your skill to grow rich on the internet. You don’t need a list to get started. But once you’ve built a list it can be an ongoing source of easy income for you.
